While it was a bit of a stretch for the stock MIDIbrick hardware, an IDE
hard disk was grafted onto the platform. This was done for prototyping
another project, but it has applications in MIDI processing (e.g. playback
of standard MIDI files from hard disk).
Features
- Port-mapped IDE interface
- Hardware supports any IDE hard disk, ATAPI CD-ROM or ZIP drive
- Low-level Software drivers for IDE hard disks
- Software drivers for read-only FAT32 (Win95/98/2K) access
- Applications include MIDI file playback, giant SYSEX dumps, etc.
