So what's the point? I mean, hell, if it's only a short time before we're gone, why not have lotsa fun, take all we can grab, screw the other guy out of what he has, leave nothing for anyone else? Well, for one reason, we all have to expect everyone else to act like ourselves. (Mostly 'cause your own actions are the only ones you can control directly). So, if I start screwing people over, I'll have to expect that everyone else is going to be screwing me over, and since I'm outnumbered 5.5 billion to one, the odds are against me. But not all of those 5.5 billion are in the position to screw, what we'll call "on top". Only about 6000 people are "on top" (rough guesstimate), to many of whom, you are merely a number, not a person, not even a name.
Life sucks. Life is not fair. It's completely random, too many things happen to people at the right place at the right time. (or at the wrong place at the wrong time).
Once you're comfortable with this, you can live your life without worry. Getting to This point.. that's the tough part.
