Here's The Principia Discordia ... Hypertext'd from the file I typed in by hand one summer while severely caffeinated and rather unemployed. What WAS I thinking? I was thinking, "Hey, I'm wired and unemployed. I need something to do with my shaking hands."
I'm quoted in the Steve Jackson edition of the Pricipia Discordia!
Well... here's a couple things I've written... Discordian or no, it's philosophy.
Stuff #1 Stuff #2 Stuff #3 (a bit of a rant) what original names.
and like all good things written on computer, the rest of Stuff was accidently deleted when GNU did a purge of their system. Oop! Oh well.. if I wanted it to be permanent, I'd've engraved it in stone.
Folks think I'm weird? At least I don't think this stuff is true. but I do think that This might go at least 1/2 way to explaining how the WTC bombings happened.
And for me, Discordianism is more than just a joke, it is a philosophy. Not one taken too seriously, but then again, do I take life seriously? Probably more than I think. Which is why I'm still alive.
Order and Disorder can both be tools of creation, and destruction. To ignore one or the other is to see only part of the picture. Make plans, but don't be so rigid as to be stuck to them when a better course of action pops up.
Whatever you do, don't try praying to Eris. Unpredictable results are to be expected.
Speaking of Philosophy, Have Some Philosophers. (oh, did I mention I was a rabid Monty Python fan?)
Life comes, life goes. Sometimes you're lucky when you need it. Sometimes a big pile of shit plops on top of you when you least expect it. Makes every day more interesting. Even shit is interesting. Stinky, but interesting
And always remember to Plant your Seeds
I wrote Discdate.c ... the C code for a program to change normal boring old dates to Fun Happy Discordian Dates. Hoo ha!
What have you created today? What have you destroyed?
