Today, 8Sep98 at 1:00pm I ordered a large cold classic veggie sub at the D'Angelo's on Rt 20 in Marlboro MA. I'm a vegetarian, so ordering the sandwich cold was the only way to make sure that the vegetables were not grilled with the meat. I had to remind the folks making the sandwich that I wanted it cold, at which point the manager on duty had the guy working the grill toss out the whole sandwich, near completion. The clerk at the register made a face when I told him I wanted a cold sandwich. "Eewww.. that'd taste disgusting cold". The manager then made me a large sandwich with cheese, tomato, and lettuce, for which I paid $5.99 (with tax). I paid more than my friend paid for his Hamburger Sub, and I had much less on mine.
The one other time I've had a sandwich from D'Angelo's, the vegetables were frozen. My options were to get the veggies grilled along with the other people's meat, which would make me sick, or to eat Veggie-sicles. I chose the latter. I left the sandwich on the dashboard of my car for half an hour while it thawed out.
I've given you guys two chances, and both times I've been very disappointed. Your sandwiches are too expensive, and the options for a vegetarian are slim-to-nil. I won't be eating at D'Angelo's again.
