Seannsan--
mmmmm...This is a delicate situation. For truly, it is not the truth that
you fear, but her -perception- of truth.
You must ask yourself the question first asked by the great sage Clismus to
his disciples on the eve of the Great Poontageddon:
"How much import does one heap upon the coochie that is not near to us?"
But this is only one aspect of truth--far more important is the issue of
Self-Truth. Seannsan, in your leisure you are oft a Player of the Roles. To
deny such is to deny Self-Truth. So in the presence of the gods, and with
deference to the omnipresent Poon-Ra, I offer this:
Tell her plainly and in simple english that you are going to a Role-Playing
convention. Say it plainly, but without apology. Perhaps, if your chi
requires it, you can offer to explain the event to her should she be
curious. For, ultimately, should the coochie that is not known become known
to you, it is best that you are known to the coochie in the light of
Self-Truth.
And if she is put off, den da hell wid hur. She is not fit to receive the
flesh poleaxe of destiny.
This is my wisdom. Squander it not.
